4 circles inside a smaller circle: I get a different answer...?

I get another number. but I might be wrong .

R1= 10 cm ( the largest outer circle)
R2 = (R1 * 5) / 12 ( the 4 rings insidethe large one)
R3 = R1 – (R1*5/12)*2 ( the smallest circle between the 4 rings)

Formulas
R2 = (R1 * 5 ) / 12
R3 = R1 - (R1 * 5 ) / 12 * 2

in this case the small circle between the 4 rings
R3 = 10 - (10 * 5 / 12 ) * 2 = 1.66 cm

On paper the geoemtry seems to fit more or less. but its difficult to check when the number is less than 1 mm !
