The area of a triangle is39cm^2. The base of the triangle is 7cm greater than the height. How do I find the base and the length of the triangle?

Ok . . .
Area of a triangle is \(\displaystyle \frac{hieght*base}{2}\)
Base is 7cm greater than the height ( How do you formulate this sentence?)

area = base * height / 2

h = height ; base = h + 7

If that's not enough, you need classroom help.

I am not familiar with the term "the length of the triangle". Are you referring to the perimeter?
