Please help I would love explanation to this homework problem I have. Its due tomorrow and it is the only one stumping me.
You would like to know if the concentration of iron in water differs between two aquifers. From a t-test, you discover that the iron concentration from the sandstone aquifer is significantly different from the iron concentration in water from the limestone aquifer.
a) Suppose instead, that you want to know if the iron concentration in water from the limestone aquifer was significantly higher than the concentration from the sandstone aquifer. How would the statistical procedure differ?
b) In which of the two situations is it easier to reject the null hypothesis?
Thank you in advance for the feedback
