As the bloggers, we'd like to ask you a tangential question:
What concepts have you been studying in class, say within the past week, before your teacher gave you this problem?
The rationale for this question arises from anecdotal observations that our problems are often thrown at students without preparation work done by teachers, and that defeats the problems' purpose, which is for students to apply learned concepts in an unpractised way.
On the other hand, if your teacher is doing his/her job and you've been studying the triangle exterior angle theorem,
then you know everything necessary to solve the problem, and just need to apply yourself.
