There is a myth that a duck’s quack does not echo. A group of scientists observed a duck in a special room,
and they found that the quack does echo. Therefore, the myth is false.
Is the conclusion a result of inductive or deductive reasoning? Explain your answer

Deductive reasoning because they said that the myth is not true then they proved it to be true.

I googled and read that deductive reasoning is used when based on established rules or generally-accepted knowledge and that inductive reasoning is used when based on personal experience or experimental observations.

(Inductive reasoning moves from something specific to make a general case; deductive reasoning moves from something general to make a specific case.)
