So I have a question for an engineering class that I am currently in I am designing a mechanism that will turn an a pole of an inch in diameter that has an axis through it that is no more than 3/4 of an inch. now the left half of the picture is of a piston that can extend from 0 to about 3 inches I am trying to figure out how long the lever that will be attached to the outside of the circular axis needs to be and at what angles should the junction point between the piston and the leaver and the leaver and the axis should be any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks
