I could use some help with the following question:

We've barely starting learning about summations and my teacher sprung this on us for the homework. Not sure what to do, any help would be greatly appreciated

HINT: that looks like an approximating sum for an definite integral on \([0,1]\).
See if you can make that work.

A good starting point would be to pick a part of the summand that could be your [MATH]\Delta x[/MATH], and then decide what [MATH]x_n[/MATH] would be. Give it a try.
