Wheel Revolutions?

The question is: How many revolutions will a car wheel of diameter 30 in. make as the car travels a distance of one mile?

I'm stumped on this one. I've tried plugging in what I have into a few different equations, but it doesn't seem like I have enough information to solve it. Thanks very much for the help.

The question is: How many revolutions will a car wheel of diameter 30 in. make as the car travels a distance of one mile?

Draw a simple sketch of the wheel sitting on the pavement. Mark the point of contact with a dot on the wheel. Now, rotate the wheel forward along the pavement until the "dot" touches the pavement again. How far did the wheel travel?

The wheel rolled along its circumference exactly once, right? And it traveled a distance equal to its circumference. Get the picture?
