3 Toys question

Jane bought 3 toys. For the first toy, she paid half of her money and EUR1 more. For the second toy, she paid half of the remaining money and EUR2 more. Finally, for the third toy, she paid half of the remaining money and EUR3 more, thus spending all of her money. How much money did she have initially?
(A) EUR36
(B) EUR45
(C)EUR34
(D) EUR65
(E) EUR100

so far I don't know how to solve this.
 
Call x the amount of money she has to begin with and try to write the price she paid for each toy using x as a variable. Try and show us what you can do. If you get stuck, people here will help you. But you have to show what you have tried so far.

Another approach is to work backwards. So can you work out the price of the third toy? (you only need the information that I quoted)
 
I have tried this way.
By using the answers given, I did a reverse process.

34- 1/2= 17 -1=16 -1/2 =8 -2=6 -1/2 =3-3= 0 Thus spending all of the money. Ans C is the correct option
 
Please do not write that 34-1/2 = 17-1. 16 -1/2 =8 - 2 is not true! 6 - 1/2 is not 0 (3-3 = 0)
 
34-1/2 = 33 1/2, while 17-1 =16. So how can 33 1/2 = 16?
16 -1/2 = 15 1/2 and 8-2 = 6. How can you then say that 16 - 1/2 = 8 - 2??
