okay well i have a complete different question can someone help me???
Okay the question is: A shop sells apples at 1.00$ each. Each of these apples are wrapped in a special wrapper. you can trade three of these wrappers for one apple?
If you have 15$ how many apples can you get altogether?

Did you try anything, yet? What are your thoughts?

This is a tutoring web site, so you need to provide some basic information about why/where you're stuck when you ask for help.

Here is a link to our Forum Guidelines. Also, I moved your post into its own thread; please do not post your questions at the end of somebody else's discussion. (Use the button labeled "Post New Thread" to create your own discussion.)

You can reason out the answer by purchasing the apples and spending the wrappers in your mind. Use paper and pencil to keep track of the numbers.

If you spend the entire $15, how many wrappers do you get?

Now spend those wrappers. How many free apples do you get?

The wrappers from the free apples can also be spent. How many additional free apples do you get?

If you organize these numbers on your paper, it will be easy to add up all of the apples that you got.

If you're still stuck after trying, please explain what you did or why you're confused. Cheers
