a ball is projected vitically from the top of a building with hight of 45 m from Erath`s surface . it velocity is determind by the relation v= 40-10t how much time the ball will take to hit the ground?

How can you use that knowledge to solve the given problem?

Steve, please cut out the sarcasm. This problem can be solved using Galileo's equation s and algebra.

You do know those equations - taught in H.S. Physics!?

I do know Galileo equations (from College physics--I wanted to learn Physics from a physicist not from a high school teacher).
The real question is does the OP's teacher know Galileo equations?

No, the real question is does the OP know the Galileo equations? I'm guessing the teacher is qualified. Virtually all of them are. But I don't really care about the OP's teacher. It's more than likely that the OP simply put the question in the wrong Forum category.

Hmmm. You all appear to be missing something here. The ball will never reach the ground!

If by "vitically" the OP meant "vertically" ( I can't think what else s/he might have meant) then the ball will rise (for 4 seconds) and then fall straight back down again coming to rest back on the top of the building! ?
(Of course, if the OP really meant to write "horizontally" then that's a different kettle of fish! ?)
