Dear Math Helpers,

Good Day! Guys can you please help me with these two questions? Question # 1 : At a position of 30 m from the base of a tree, the measure

of the angle formed by the horizontal and the right-line to the top of the tree is 60 degrees. Find the height of the tree. Question # 2 : A cable is needed to

support a 25 ft. pole. The angle formed by
the horizontal and the cable measures 45 degrees. Estimate the length of the cable. I already know how to

answer problems like these my only problem is finding out or determining the representation/figure, how can I solve something that doesn't have a figure?

I need to be able to imagine the figure through the given, if you could kindly help me on this PLEASE!

Visualization skills are important, but not everything.

Question # 1 :

At a position of 30 m

DRAW A LINE SEGMENT. LABEL IT "30 m". No one cares how long or in what position.

from the base of a tree,

PUT A TREE ON ONE END. No one cares how tall, so long as it is perpendicular to teh line segment. This is an assumption based on the section heading. We're working with right triangles, so there had better be a right angle in there, somewhere.

the measure of the angle formed by the horizontal

THAT'S YOUR ORIGINAL LINE SEGMENT

and the right-line to the top of the tree

CONNECT THE DOTS. THE OTHER END OF YOUR LINE SEGMENT TO THE TOP OF THE TREE.

is 60 degrees.

LABEL THAT DISTANT ANGLE, THE ONE ON THE BASE AND NOT NEAR THE TREE "60º"

Find the height of the tree.

YOUR TASK NOW IS TO SPEW EVWRYTHING YOUR KNOW ABOUT RIGHT TRIANGLES. You should start by putting a little "right angle" crook at the base of the tree.

Having done that, what else do you know about right triangles?
