Bearing problem and Trigonometry

Hi everyone,
My name is Jignesh and my son is in KS3. This is not a homework question.
I have attached a question (5a). The correct answer is 2.3 which I get it but I want to ensure I have drawn the diagram correctly. The answer doesn't show the diagram so I am confused as to the correct answer. Is the question asking the AB or BC as per my diagram? Please help me understand the correct answer in terms of the correct diagram.

Yes, your diagram and work are correct, and they are asking for distance AB. (BC would be the distance east.)
