At 6 a.m the temperature was -11 degrees c.the weather forecaster predicted that the temp. Would rise 2 degrees each hour for at least 8 hours. At what time should the temperature reach at 3 degrees?

There's only 8 hours. Why not just add them up?

Start -11
1 hr -11 + 2 = -9
2 hr -9 + 2 = -7
etc.
