I have a circle with a chord FG which i need to find the length of. There is a line perpendicular (OM) to the chord (FG) which is 40 metres and lastly there is a line making a triangle from G-O which is 50 metres. Please try and help with this for my homework. If you would like me to post a picture just let me know how to do so due to me being new to the site. Cheers

Hint 1: You have a right triangle, and you know two of the sides. How would you find the third side?

Hint 2: A perpendicular from the center of a circle to a chord is also a bisector of that chord.

Hope that helps.
