I stopped before seeing the answer and correctly guessed it, by considering two special cases (P at the center, and P very near A - the first led to a wrong guess). Then I found a version of the proof based on the guessed answer. His proof is a little cleaner than mine; maybe I would have seen it if I'd actually written anything down. Definitely fun to figure out.
