Question: Write a DE to mathematically model the claim that a species will go extinct if the pop falls below approx. 2000, but will grow to a stable pop of approx. 16000 if population levels were high enough.
I am trying to figure out how to do this. Is this going to be using the logistic, doomsday, or extinction model ?
I need help just getting started.
I think it is :
\(\displaystyle \frac{dP}{dt}=-k(P-2000)(P-16000)\)
