Hey, together!
I am facing a somewhat more complex problem for me.
I would like to use Excel to determine the optimal cast for 5 processes.
The data I can use for this are the following:
table presence
Name - Date
Kevin - 01.01.2019 ....
Table skills
Name - ability
Kevin - Mount
Kevin - turning
That is, I know on which day / date, who exactly is there and what skills he has.
These skills are 1 to 1 the processes:
So:
Process 1: Mount
Process 2: Turning
Process 3: Drilling
Process 4: Check
Process 5: Shipping
Now I need some formula / function / approach that will tell me how to best match the processes, according to the skills and staff available each day.
Here are additional requirements:
The processes are as follows:
Process 1: min: 2 - max 4 - Prio 1
Process 2: min: 2 - max 4 - Prio 2
Process 3: min: 3 - max 7 - Prio 3
Process 4: min: 1 - max 4 - Prio 5
Process 5: min: 5 - max 3 - Prio 4
In the end, I need some overview, which shows me how many employees I have occupied at the end of each process.
I am not looking for a ready-made solution, but rather keywords, ideas, models and approaches, so that I can continue my own research.
I do not know where to start. My math 1-3 courses at the university have been a few years ago.
I am thankful for every answer!
