a cell colony starts with 3000 cells. If it doubles every minute, how long(to the nearest second) will it take to have 9 billion cells?

You can use \(\displaystyle \L\\A=A_{0}e^{kt}\)

The problem says they double every minute. You must find k.

\(\displaystyle \L\\6000=3000e^{k(1)}\)

Solve for k.

Then, set your function equal to 9,000,000,000 and solve for t.

They breed out of control almost as bad as humans.
