Ill be honest im completely stuck and need help.

A running back is running towards the goal line facing due east (angle of 0 degrees with the x axis.) at the moment he is being acted on by 3 forces. one opponent exerts a 750 pound force at an angle of 310 degrees. His teamate is pushing him with a force of 450 pounds directly toward the goal line. find the magnitude(in pounds) and direction(in degrees) of the resultant force.

Did draw a diagram - showing the player as a point and three forces (however, you describe only two forces!) acting on it.

What are the x-y components of those forces.

Add up the x-components = x-component of the resultant

Add up the y-components = y-component of the resultant

Now you x-y components of the resultant - continue....
