So, I'm working on a homework problem and I've gotten to a=140 tan 37degrees. My math class has an online helper that shows an example. In their example, the same problem comes to a=310 tan 27degrees, with the answer being =158. I have no idea how they got that answer. In the explanation, it says to "multiply both sides by 310. I'm still not coming up with 158. Obviously math is not my strong suit. It seems like I'm missing something simple. Any help please?

When confronted with a wacky answer you know is not correct when using degrees in a calculator, check and make sure you are not in radians.
