line L has intercepts 'a' and 'b' on the coordinate axes,when the axes are rotated through a given angle keeping the origin fixed the same line has intercepts 'p' and 'q' then;
a) a{sqre}+ b{sqre}=p{sqre}+q{sqre}
b)1/a{sqre}+1/b{sqre}=1/p{sqre}+1/q{sqre}
c)a{sqre} +p{sqre}=b{sqre}+q{sqre}
d)1/a{sqre} +1/p{sqre}= 1/b{sqre}+1/q{sqre}
can any anyone explain why a p and b q cant be equal?
