Hi everyone,
I'm stuck on this question which is a modified and simplified problem of goat on a rope. Please help, I have my maths class in a few hours!
:confused::mad::sad::-(
(Draw a diagram to help you with the problem.)

A goat, Paula is in a 20m by 20m paddock. There is a shed in the bottom right corner which is 10m by 10m. There are several points around the paddock which she is tied to by a 10m rope.
Please find how much area in m squared she can graze when tied to each point (using pi, if possible, show working with only Pythagoras', area of circle, etc.).
a) From point A, on the top left hand corner of the paddock.
b) From point B, 10 m below A.
c) From point C, the top left point of the 10m by 10m shed.
d) From point D, the top right hand corner of the paddock.
Also, there is a 5m wide gate on the right side of the paddock, next to D.
e) From point E, 10m below D, therefore across from B.
f) From point F, on the bottom 'line' of the paddock, 5 m from the left of the shed.
g) From point G, 5m from D and 5m from E.
Thank you so much to whoever helps! :D:D

Thanks Denis. :) Unfortunately, these problems have a different concept to mine.
You have the wrong idea: we provide HELP, not answers to homework. If you have done work and want us to confirm that it is correct, we will do that if you show your work. If you have done some work but got stuck, we need to see the work you have done to tell you how to get unstuck. If you are unsure where to start, tell us what you have thought about so we can steer you in the right direction. Did you draw the diagram as suggested in the problem itself. I suggest drawing a diagram (just a quick sketch really) for each problem so it is not too messy. So for problem a, what is the shape of the area within which the goat can graze?
