Graph an inequality on the grid

Don't understand how to set this up - can someone help me?

Graph the inequality Y < 1/2X - 2 on the grid.

We can't see whatever picture you're looking at, so you'll have to explain what "the grid" is and how you're supposed to be using it.

Since the inequality is "less than", shade the region below the dotted line.
