hello all i am taking college math 2 again. . . i have tried student to student tutoring and even in class tutoring with a teacher yet still i have problems with math its getting the information to stick thats the problem -_-

i think i may have dyscalulia. . . anyways here is my homework -_- i took pictures of it

even on the very first problem i started to try and solve it and it was more simple then i first thought -_- i don't understand what formulas you use for each problem and why

The last problem, #7, can be done easier if you draw a picture and label the given info.

Let x=length needed. The distance from station A to the fire.

Use the sine formula:

Remember, the angles are across from the lengths in the triangle.

Because the other angles are 50+30=80. Then, the angle at the fire must be 180-(50+30)=100.

The length across from the angle at station B, 50 deg, is the length we need.

\(\displaystyle \frac{20}{sin(100)}=\frac{x}{sin(50)}\)

\(\displaystyle x=\frac{20sin(100)}{sin(50)}\)

That's it. Here is a haphazard diagram to help visualize.
