How do i solve part b? I don't even understand the question :/

Do you not know what "continuous function" means? To be continuous (at x= 0) you must have \(\displaystyle \lim_{x\to 0} f(x)= f(0)\).
That is why Romsek asked "what is \(\displaystyle \lim_{x\to 0} f(x)\)?"

(It will be helpful to remember that "cos(x)" is always between -1 and 1.)

Building on the hint that Professor Halls gave you, you should use his hint and apply the squeeze theorem.
