The problem is s=the arc length Theta=arc measure in degres and to find the radius to the nearest 1,000 cm s=38,000cm Theta=45.3 degrees The formula we have been using is s/2Pi r = theta/360 degrees

Arc length is \(\displaystyle A=R\theta\) where \(\displaystyle \theta\) is the measure of the central angle in radians.
So \(\displaystyle \theta=45.3^o=45.3\left(\frac{\pi}{180}\right)\)
