Need some help solving the following:

Q: Solve the following laplace transforms

y'' + 4y' = cos(t)

y(0) = 2
y'(0) = 8

Okay, what "help" do you need? Where are you having difficulty? Do you know what a "Laplace Transform" is? Have you at least applied the Laplace transform to both sides of the equation? what did you get?

(I assume you know that the problem is really "use the Laplace Transform to solve this initial value problem", NOT "solve the Laplace Transform".)
