ok, so my geometry midterm is tomorrow and i dont understand how to find a line perpendicular to a line, or how to find a line parallel to a line. i know there is some kind of formula for each. i just dont know it.

We can't "teach" topics here. Your textbook should have all the information you need for how to find equations of lines either parallel or perpendicular to given lines.

What is the relationship between the slopes of PARALLEL lines?

What is the relationship between the slopes of PERPENDICULAR lines?
