Hi I have a quick question. I would just like to make sure im doing my math right
My points are (1,4) and (5,6) and I have to find a linear function whose graph contains these points.

f(x)=mx+b

I already figured out my slope to be 1/2

f(x)=1/2x+b
4=1/2(1)=b

4-1/2=b

would b = 3 1/2 then

for a final answer of f(x)= 1/2x+3 1/2

That's correct, but you may want to write it as \(\displaystyle \frac{1}{2}x+\frac{7}{2}\)
