I am trying to find a percentage to use as an estimation for a rough idea of how many people in a city would sign up for a dance cardio class. Studies show that 20% of America does dance cardio. I am looking to move to Columbus Ohio and have checked out all the population of cities that are in a 3 1/2 hour drive that have 40,000 or more people in the population. For example Columbus Ohio has 917,679 people in its population. What is a good percentage to use to estimate how many people in Columbus Ohio might be interested in a dance cardio class with the information that 20% of America does dance cardio. Granted I understand that cities in California would have different dance cardio class sizes versus your average city in Ohio, but I’m not sure on how I can even find a measurement on what states in general participate more in dance cardio. I have not seen any information that suggests that other states are more interested in dance cardio than other states. So I don’t know if you would try to divide by state, or divide by every city population in America? Another way to look at it is women tend to do dance cardio more than men. So if you take a population size and divide it in half and try to find statistics that way, I’m not sure if that could be a more efficient way to find what I’m looking for.
