Find a vector equation and parametric equations for the line through the point (1,0,6)
and perpendicular to the plane \(\displaystyle x+3y+z\,=\,5\)

Why are you stuck?


You don't know the formulas for the equations of a line?

. . Vector: .\(\displaystyle \vec v \;=\;\langle x_o,y_o,z_o\rangle + \langle a,b,c\rangle t\)

. . Parametric: .\(\displaystyle \begin{Bmatrix} x&=& x_o + at \\ y &=& y_o + bt \\ z &=& z_o + ct \end{Bmatrix}\)


You do know the formulas,
. . but you don't know how to find \(\displaystyle x_o,y_o,z_o\) and \(\displaystyle a,b,c\) ?
