  1. Mrs. Gonzalez has a box that contains 20 prize tickets for 5 different prizes. Every Friday, students with good behavior take turns choosing a prize ticket from the box without looking. Each student returns the prize ticket to the box after reading it. The chart below shows the prize tickets chosen by students last Friday.

Based on the results shown in the chart above, which is the best prediction for the total number of tickets for the free time inside the box?

  1. 2
  2. 5
  3. 10
  4. 15

Since you are stuck at the very begining, let's start with definitions:

What is the definition of probability?

How many students, in total, took part in the drawing?

How many students drew "free time"?

We can help - we only help after you have shown your work - or ask a specific question (not a statement like "Don't know any of these")

Please share your work with us indicating exactly where you are stuck - so that we may know where to begin to help you.

Are you sure you have copied the problem correctly? You mention "5 different prizes" but give numbers for only three. And using the numbers you give I get an answer very different from any of the options.
