sorry when i do this problem i m gettin the wrong answer i have no clue what im doin wrong


2/3% of (?)=33.3

i get 50 as the answer but the answer is 5000. i changed 2/3 to a decimal which gave me .666 which would be .666x=33.3 then divide right???

But it is 2/3% = .6666% = .006666

If it helps (and I don't know how "exact" your answer is required to be), note that "per cent" means "out of a hundred", and convert to fractional form:

. . . . .2/3% = (2/3)/100

. . . . .= (2/3) / (100/1) = (2/3)(1/100)

. . . . .= 2/300 = 1/150

If that doesn't make sense to you, then you probably don't need to know this, so just ignore it.
