Can some one please help me with these two...

x-3y=3

and

6x+3y=12
y+2x=-2

I just don't get it !!!

You need classroom help.

i know that the teacher would not help me! so i couldn't get help!

Re: Need to solve algebraically....

Factor out the problem by putting everything out to one side and have it to equal either x or y and then take that equation and substitute it for the second equation. Hope this helps out.

I certainly hope you're not paying for a class where the instructor doesn't teach.... :?

Since you have to do self-study and teach yourself, and since we cannot provide course instruction within this environment, please study some of the many great lessons available online:

. . . . .Google results for "solving systems linear equations"

You probably will want to start with lessons (or portions of lessons) covering the "substitution" and "elimination" (or "addition") methods first.

Have fun! :D
