Can any one help me with these problems?

the positive x-axis of a unit circle and a ray from the origin of the unit circle to a point in the second quadrant from an angle measuring θ degrees. if sin θ = -cos θ,what is the value of θ?

Forget about the "unit circle" for a moment. Can you solve this equation, sin θ = -cos θ, for an angle between 90 and 180 degrees (the second quadrant)? That is all the problem is asking.

Hope that helps.

no clue. i just started taking geometry in august i know none of this.

Please be aware that there will most likely be LOTS of "stuff" on the ACT test which you have not yet seen in your classes. And you're not going to be able to learn it all on your own (or even with a lot of helpl!!!!) before December.

The ACT test was originally intended to be taken by high school juniors and seniors as an indication of their preparation for college. So much of what is on those tests will normally not have been covered yet by students in tenth grade (or even younger...some 7th graders take the ACT test).

I'm personally not convinced that there is any benefit to be derived by having students who are still a long way from college entrance take these tests. Of course, there IS a financial benefit for the testing company...it costs MONEY to take the ACT tests.

At any rate, there is no point in your "sweating" over topics you haven't seen yet. You will have other opportunities to take the ACT again closer to the time you are applying for college entrance, and by then, you'll have covered many more of these topics.
