ok so on my hw, there is a problem that looks like this:

Given: tri. ABC similar to tri. ROX. If AB=6, BC=7, AC=8, and RX=10, find RO. im not quite sure how to do this, can you help me?

If two triangles are similar, their corresponding sides are proportional.

That is: \(\displaystyle \L\;AB\,:\,BC\,:\,AC\;=\;RO\,:\,OX\,:\,RX\)

. . . . or: \(\displaystyle \L\;\frac{RO}{AB}\,=\,\frac{OX}{BC}\,=\,\frac{RX}{AC}\)
