Prize Calculator

I am trying to develop a calculator similar to an app on the Google play store for displaying mathematically correct (i.e., fair and equitable) prizes for various tournament/gaming schemes (eg: single elimination, double elimination and round robin formats).

I am not too good at algorithms, so looking for someone who can help me to understand the functionality of a specific app and possible algorithms used.

Hello skcwebworld. Did you notice the link to the forum's guidelines? In general, we don't vet specific apps or assist in reverse-engineering formulas. There is an email address at the Google Play store, for contacting the app's developer. They are the best source of information about documentation, functionality and mathematical approaches used (there are many different algorithms for accomplishing the same end-result).

Were you to describe what you'd like your app to do, members here could decide whether they have suggestions or other helpful information for learning how to calculate fair payouts and what inputs are needed to code for that. If you need help understanding the differences between aspects like single versus double elimination, for example, please say so. The more detailed your description is (of what you need), the better the responses you may get. Thanks!

To add on to the previous post, the primary purpose of this site is to assist students, We do help others, and some of the helpers are very talented in specific fields. One or two may be happy to participate in a commercial venture (or in an open source application) for free. Most, probably all, will be happy to provide for free relevant information that is in the public domain. In any case, as the previous post says, the more information you can supply about what you have thought, done, or wondered about, the more likely that someone here can and will help you.
