Hello Alexis:

Welcome to the boards. Please check out the summary page of our posting guidelines. (Links to the complete guidelines, as well as to the forum rules, appear near the bottom of the summary page.)

This is a tutoring website, and the forums are maintained by volunteers. We need some idea of what you already understand about this exercise. Please explain your thoughts about this exercise. Has your class discussed something called the Basic Counting Principle (i.e., determine how many ways are there to select the first computer, and then determine how many ways to select the second computer, etc.; multiply these counts together, to get the number of different ways of selecting four computers)?

Volunteer tutors don't have time to type classroom lectures, but we can provide you with links to lessons.

Let us know what you need, or explain your efforts so far.

Cheers
