Just to be sure, are the two exercises as follows?

. . . . .\(\displaystyle \mbox{a. }\, y\, =\, \dfrac{(x\, +\, 2)(x\, +\, 4)}{6^x}\)

. . . . .\(\displaystyle \mbox{b. }\, y\, =\, \dfrac{(x\, +\, 2)(x\, +\, 4)}{6^{\sqrt{x}}}\)

When you reply, please include a listing of the steps you've done so far, so we can see where you're getting stuck. Also, please explain how these questions arose in your differential equations class; normally, I'd have assumed they were from a calculus course. Thank you! ;)
