please help I know the answer is x=3 and x=4 but I am not sure how to find this answer.

Since the question, as posted, makes no sense, there is no way to know how the "answer". :shock:

If the instructions had said something like "find the real zeroes", "find the intercepts", "find the vertex", or some such, then an answer could have been found. But "solve the function" doesn't have any fixed meaning. Sorry.
