9 times the square root of 4 = the square root of 9 times 4..

Well, the way you have typed it is a bit confusing.

Do you mean this?

9 * sqrt(4) = sqrt(9) * 4

or do you mean this?

9 * sqrt(4) = sqrt(9*4)

It may very well make a difference!

If your problem is
9*sqrt(4) = sqrt(9) * 4
then you have
9*2 = 3*4
18 * 12
this is obviously false.

If your problem is
9 * sqrt(4) = sqrt(9*4)
then you have
9 * 2 = sqrt(36)
18 = 6
Also false.

In this case, either interpretation of the original problem gives a result of false, but this may not always be the case. Please present your problem in the most unambiguous way possible.
