The question is : the mean is 50, standard deviation is 3.2, a student's score is 1.2 standard deviation above the mean. What is student's score? I understand the z score formula. Which you take the given - the mean / the stand deviation. But this problem gives no given. I just don' t know how to start this one.

\(\displaystyle x - \mu = 1.2 * \sigma\)

\(\displaystyle \frac{x - \mu}{\sigma} = 1.2\)
