I have several questions. I was wondering if I post them in the same thread, or do I simply just make a new thread when a question is answered. To make sure there is no spam from me. Also my biggest concern is asking simple questions and not getting answers.

I'm a college freshman in Statistics, and we're studying Inferences Based on a Single Sample

I am unaware with the definition or the process for it.

1)Which element of a test of hypothesis is used to decide whether to reject the null hypothesis in favor of the alternative hypothesis?
