What is the minimum pruduct of two numbers that differ by 9? What are the two numbers?

My answer was (-4.5)(4.5)=-20.25 or the minimum product is -20.25 and the two numbers are -4.5 adn 4.5. I just want to know if I got the hang to these kind of problems. Thx for any confirmation or correction.

Your answer is correct.

Howevr, in these types of problems "correct method" carries more importance than "corrct answer".
