First, a confession. It has been YEARS since I've looked at a Geometry textbook.
I'm reading a paper where the author states, the results "appear to reach an asymptote at a sample size of 12."
I understand what an asymptote is -- but I'm not certain how to apply it here. Is the author making the case that things really don't get "better" with a larger sample size? (Which, to be honest I'm inferring based on the context of the statement versus understanding the use of asymptote.)
Many thanks in advance.
