1. Three-fourths of an inch of rain falls over a 10 mile radius area.
a) how many cubic feet is this?
b) how many gallons is this?
c) how many tons is this?

(extra info: 1 ft^3 = 7.48 gallons, 1 gallon = 8.33 pounds, 1 mile = 5280 feet)
Please tell me how to solve this problem! :) Thanks

Re: Three-fourths of an inch of rain falls over a 10 mile ra

\(\displaystyle \pi r^{2}h\)

\(\displaystyle \pi (10\;mile)^{2} \left(\frac{3}{4}\;in\right)\)

Now what? Looks like you have a units problem. Convert it!
