For the simplified transistor circuit in the figure, calculate the voltage \(\displaystyle v_o\).

Let us try \(\displaystyle \text{KVL}\).

First loop.

\(\displaystyle 0.047 - I_1(1000) - (I_1 - I_2)2000 = 0\)
 
From the second loop, we get:

\(\displaystyle I_2 = -400I\)

We also know that:

\(\displaystyle I_1 = I\)

Then,

\(\displaystyle 0.047 - I(1000) - (I + 400I)2000 = 0\)

\(\displaystyle 0.047 - I(1000) - (401I)2000 = 0\)

\(\displaystyle 0.047 - 1000I - 802000I = 0\)

\(\displaystyle 0.047 - 803000I = 0\)

Then,

\(\displaystyle I = 5.85305 \times 10^{-8} \ \text{A}\)
