Hello this is my first time using this app so sorry If there are some problems, I got this question where I need to find the length of section CD

In the drawing there is section AD and BC
P is the meeting point of the two sections .
P (5:8)
It is known that the area of triangle PDC is 44" Measurable units"

1)find the length of CD
2)C is (-2:0) find the coordinates of D .
 
I took the 44 "square inches " although we don't use in this country inches and than placed it in the equation 44=height of p which is 8 the follow 44=8 multiple by X split by 2
CD= 11
