Here's my question:

The diameter of two water pipes of the same length are 6 in. and 8 in. A single pipe of the same length replaces the two pipes. The single pipe has the same volume as the two original pipes combined. What is the diameter of the new pipe?

Can someone help solve this problem?

We can help - we only help after you have shown your work - or ask a specific question (not a statement like "Don't know any of these")

Do you know the expression for volume of a cylinder in terms of its radius ( or diameter) and height?

Please share your work with us indicating exactly where you are stuck - so that we may know where to begin to help you.
